With 250 local branches all having their own website and social media channels, The Belgian Red Cross was all over the place, euh… web. Furthermore, there was no possibility for people to donate online, even though research pointed out they were willing to. That’s no way to work. We put our needle phobia aside and pulled an Obama. We united them all.
Belgian Red Cross Flanders Website
What we did
We transformed the 90's looking website into a new appealing responsive site. Don't get us wrong. We love the 90's, but when it comes to a 90's looking website, our love quickly fades away. We changed it to a content driven site in line with the Red Cross organization values.
Simplicity and unity, those values were key. We created a perfect balance between raising awareness through smart content publishing and a permanent call for support on all levels.
We created the website to be more than a website. It is a tool to connect the organization’s top and bottom one brand objectives. It reflects the richness of activities and the social responsibility of the every day work of more than 15.000 volunteers.
And its build up from a users perspective, it facilitates the support to those who are in need, for everyone who has the willingness to do so.
